Prizeotel ist für mich:
Der erste Eindruck war ausgesprochen negativ. Das Hotel ist offensichtlich bei Ballermann-Touristen sehr beliebt (in HH fand am nächsten Tag der Schlagermove statt), die zahlreich und angetrunken den Check In an der Rezeption belagerten und mich erst mal wieder das Weite hätten suchen lassen, wenn nicht eine freundliche Angestellte auf meine Verärgerung aufmerksam wurde und meine Taschen in den Gepäckraum stellte, um mir ein späteres Check In zu ermöglichen, was dann in der Nacht auch problemlos möglich war. Das Zimmer entschädigte dann vollends für den mittäglichen Ärger. Es war modern, farbenfroh, hell und sehr sauber. Und zum Glück befanden sich die Party-Horden offensichtlich weit weg auf einer anderen Etage, so dass es (zumindest für mich) zu keiner Lärmbelästigung kam. Das Frühstücksbuffet war gut und der Raum zum Glück groß genug für die vielen Gäste. Etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig ist die im Prizeotel wohl übliche und an IKEA erinnernde Anrede mit Du.

Gutes Hotel mit einer lockeren Atmosphäre , gutem Frühstück , und das zu einem fairen Preis.

Let’s get this out of the way first. What’s not to love about the Prizeotel? Well it’s location is a bit Kraftwerk located where functional architecture rules the roost. However a hipster vibe is starting to take hold here & the short walk from Central Station proved just as safe after dark as in the daylight hours. The check in will certainly frustrate though unused to German efficiency but once that hurdle is negotiated the room is yours and should one be needed a refreshing shower proved wonderfully invigorating with the water reaching optimum temperature within the blink of a eye. Though a double room mine seemed a tad tight for a couple to share but the bed was perfect for me to crash out & get my much needed beauty sleep after tasting the fleshpots of this vibrant city. Sadly breakfast is not complimentary though I Challenge anyone to find a hotel in Germany that does throw it in gratis. That said the spread was magnificent & even if you stuck to coffee along it would be easy to get your €11 worth in the four hour breakfast window. Special mention of the matschbrötchen which demands to be sampled even for its sheer weirdness (see pictures) & an extra special mention for the hotel staff who could not have been more pleasant & helpful.
