One of 34 Sea Life Centres in Europe can be found in the former rain forest house in the Mountain Garden. It is the first, almost exhaustive tropical centre with a deep-sea tank holding around 300,000 litres of water. The huge ocean tank complete with sharks and sea turtles is a must see! Whilst walking through an eight metre long glass tunnel, you can gaze in awe upon the sea creatures inside this four metre deep tank. Moreover, since 2012 you can also see Cuban crocodiles in the Sea Life Centre in Hanover. A so-called "croc-walk" (a glass bridge) was built specially for this purpose.
Altogether there are over 2500 creatures from more than 160 species in 37 tanks and aquariums. There’s also a "petting tank" with starfish and crabs. You can see the feeding times on the home page. Even children’s birthdays and other events can be held here.
