prizeotel Bremen-City - How to find us

Theodor-Heuss-Allee 12, 28215 Bremen

The prizeotel Bremen couldn't have a better location. The Bürgerweide is exactly opposite of our hotel and the ÖVB-Arena with the convention center complex, the congress center and also the main train station are only about 350m from the prizeotel. You can reach the popular Schnoor quarter, the historic city as well as Bremen City by foot in only 10-15 minutes. As an alternative, you can also take a tram for 2-3 stops. You can also reach the Bremen Bürgerpark within a few minutes – a real highlight for athletic guests and outdoor fans that want to get out before breakfast.

Parking at the hotel

You can find parking with video surveillance right behind the prizeotel Bremen-City. There is a daily fee of 14 EUR. With this fee your car will be surveilled 24hrs with additional security at night. In October, during the Freimarkt at the Bürgerwiese (Bremen's 5th season), there's additional security and a fence. During that time the daily charge is 15EUR. We want to make sure your car is really safe.

Should parking at prizeotel be unavailable, you can park directly across at the Bürgerweide. The prizeotel team is happy to give you further tips, where you can park your car.

A few more Bremen highlights for you:

The Schnoor quarter is charming with its narrow half-timbered houses from the 15th and 16th century and narrow passages between the rows of buildings. Since the houses are connected to each other and resemble a string of pearls, the quarter's name comes from string or in local German dialect "Schnoor".

Guests can linger through this quarter which lies on the Weser River, stroll through the goldsmith and handcraft shops, take a break in one of the many cafes or restaurants, or shop for souvenirs to take home from this Hanseatic city.

And this is how you get from prizeotel Bremen-City to the Schnoor Quarter:

walk to the main train station and from there take tram line 4, 5, 6 or 8 or bus line 24 or 25 towards Domsheide. Exit after 3 stops at Domsheide.

If you would like to go to the Böttcherstraße to roam around the many handcraft shops or artist's studios catch tram line 4,5,6 or 8 or bus line 24 or 25 in front of the main train station. Head towards Domsheide and get off at the second stop called Schüsselkorb. Cross the market square passing the statue of "Roland" and the "Stadtmusikanten" (Statue of a donkey, dog, cat and rooster) and continue straight ahead to Böttcher Street. You can also easily walk there instead of using public transportation. After all Bremen remains a village with trams.

For all that like to be on the water front, the Schlachte is not far from Böttcher Street. There you can see ships, go for a boat ride or simply sit in one of the many restaurants and later on enjoy the night life. "Schlachte" refers to the historical boardwalk along the Weser's riverbank in Bremen's old town.

Whoever wants to go straight to the Schlachte or water front, should hop onto tram line 1
or bus line 26 or 27 and hop off at "Am Brill".
Bremen Tourism

Actually The Quarter is called Steintorviertel or Stone Gate Quarter, but nobody uses this name anymore for Bremen's cultural and trendy quarter. If you want to go there from prizeotel to browse around the hip shops, then go towards the main train station and take tram line 10 towards Sebaldsbrück. Get off at "Sielwall" and you'll be in the center of the Quarter. Here you'll find retail shops with an individual assortment of goods. Trendy cafés, restaurants and bars guarantee that even after the shops close, the Quarter doesn't go to sleep.

The Universum is defintely worth a visit. From the hotel you walk about 300m to the main train station and catch tram line 6 towards "Universität". Get off at "Universität-Süd" and you'll have about a 450m walk to your destination.
